What is holding
your products back?

Start with the issue your store needs to solve, whether you’re preparing to launch or managing an established catalogue.

02 / Improve

Improve your product information

Products are connected, but the information needs work? We review how your catalogue reaches Google and identify gaps or inconsistencies worth addressing.

Understand errors and disapprovals

Products aren’t eligible or your account needs attention? We review the notices, investigate the relevant data and website issues, and explain the appropriate next steps.

02 / ConsistencyFrom listing to product page

Give Google useful product information. Give shoppers a consistent experience.

Your product listing sets expectations before someone reaches your store. The item, price and availability they see should match what they find on the product page.

Merchant Centre brings your product information into Google’s shopping experiences. We help you manage that information so the journey from discovery to your store is easier to understand.

  • Product information that represents what you sell
  • Fewer avoidable inconsistencies between listings and your store
  • A clearer view of issues affecting product eligibility

05 / Free and paidOne product source

Product data, advertising and your store
should work together.

Merchant Centre manages the product information used in eligible free listings and product-based advertising. Google Ads manages paid campaigns, budgets and bidding.

01

Free product listings

Eligible products may appear on Google’s shopping surfaces without paying for the listing placement. Visibility is not guaranteed simply because a product is approved.

02

Shopping and Performance Max campaigns

Product-based campaigns use Merchant Centre data alongside the campaign setup in Google Ads. Advertising management and media spend are separate from a feed-only project unless included in your proposal.

AV Consulting can bring these parts together with website and analytics work when your project needs them. The aim is a consistent journey from the product shown on Google to the page where a customer can buy it.

06 / MeasurementTwo kinds of evidence

Measure catalogue health
and customer activity separately.

A healthier data setup and stronger sales performance are related questions, but they need different evidence.

Catalogue health

We review relevant product statuses and unresolved issues to understand catalogue health. Where available, listing impressions and clicks show how products are being discovered.

Customer activity

For paid campaigns, conversion and revenue reporting depend on the advertising and tracking setup. We interpret those results alongside spend, margins and store performance, rather than treating product approval as proof of commercial success.

07 / ProcessFour practical steps

A clear route from account review
to useful improvements.

  1. 01

    Understand the store and account

Discuss your catalogue, platform, selling markets and goals. Review available access, the existing connection and issues that need investigation.

  2. 02

    Agree the priorities and scope

Identify which changes belong in Merchant Centre, the data source or the website. Explain dependencies, required information and any development or tool costs.

  3. 03

    Complete the agreed work

Configure the setup or improve the relevant data and settings. Check the resulting product statuses and prepare review requests where appropriate.

  4. 04

    Review and plan ongoing care

Explain what changed, what still needs attention and how future catalogue updates will be handled. Agree whether ongoing management is needed.

Access is arranged through account permissions. Your team remains involved in the business information and changes being approved.
